Sema is an Ancient Egyptian glyph illustrating the principle of unity. Two separate plants, a papyrus and water lily, are joined but at the same time remain true to their own nature. Sema is here to let you know that being united with someone or some cause does not mean that you have to lose your own identity. You must always be true to what is in your heart (Ib) and follow the promptings of Mayat, the goddess of Truth. When you do this, you will bring what you have to the union, making everyone present more than what each one of you is alone. Unity is synergy.
