Today’s card is Wadj, the papyrus scepter held by priestesses and goddesses. Papyrus not only is the material used to make paper, it also made boats, life-preservers, and mats. A broken stem of papyrus was also used as a brush to write with. The Wadj asks you if you see the connection between writing and traveling? Writing a journal of your experiences allows others to take your voyage as you recorded it. You are able to travel to other times or imaginary locations of legend by reading novels and poetry. The Wadj suggests to you that you record your life, your thoughts, and your dreams. Not only will these writings help you on your journey, but may help others as well.
