Today’s card is Ib, the heart. To the Ancients, the heart was the most important part of the body as they considered it to be the center of ethical and moral thought, while the brain was a useless organ that only brought trouble. At the final judgment, the person’s Ib was weighed against the feather of Mayat, the goddess of righteousness and truth. The Ib asks you to consider your thoughts and actions. Thoughts never carried out may seem harmless, yet they bring energy to an idea which eventually is either spoken or enacted. Thinking with your heart, the spark of God within you, is far safer than rolling along not thinking at all.
