Tyet
Today’s card is the Tyet, often called the Buckle of Isis. This is the ultimate female symbol, representing the motherhood of all women and the generations they bring into existence. The amulet was often made of carnelian to simulate life-bearing blood. Any mother knows that motherhood is not an easy task. There is much physical pain, but also emotional pain, letting the child go to be the whole person they came in life to become. The Tyet asks you to consider your own labor of love. What is it that you do that you would rather do than sleep or eat? What gift has God given you that you are to produce for the world around you? If you are facing pain, know that all of the hard work and labor will be worth it in the end.
